Start with a narrow problem
Look for a repeated task with an observable result: finding a policy, classifying a request or extracting a field from a document. A focused use case makes evaluation more useful than a general promise of automation.
Check the information available
Understand which documents and records the system may access. Remove unnecessary personal information, apply existing access rules and decide how updates will reach the application.
Evaluate more than a demo
Collect representative examples, including difficult ones. Compare the proposed system with your current process on correctness, time saved and the effort required to review mistakes. Track cost and latency too.
Keep people in the loop
Make it clear when an output is generated and where verification is needed. Route uncertain or consequential decisions to a person. Review failures regularly and adjust the workflow before expanding usage.
